Game Rules

Kuttabu is a team-based word game inspired by Turkic history and culture. The goal is to describe the main word without using the prohibited words and earn the highest score.

Core Rule

The narrator describes the main word to teammates but may not use any of the prohibited words shown on the card.

Correct Answer

When the team guesses the main word correctly, the card is marked as correct and the team earns a point.

Taboo

If the narrator uses one of the prohibited words or directly says the main word, the card is marked as taboo.

Pass

The narrator may skip a difficult card. The number of available passes is selected during game setup.

Scoring

Under the default scoring system, a correct answer gives +1 point and a taboo gives -1 point.

Time and Rounds

Each team describes cards during the selected time limit. After all rounds are completed, the team with the highest score wins.

Winning Team

The team with the highest final score wins. If the scores are tied, an additional round may be played.
